Baton Rouge, LA (November 1, 2016) — BIC Media Solutions’ (BMS) “Media That Matters” lending library displays are being rolled out to local businesses, the energy sector and associations to spread goodwill and hope to those in need of inspiration and hope. Building on the momentum of the Rock Bottom and Back™ book and film published by BMS recently, the ultimate goal of this new outreach effort is to provide a free access to books and films that inspire, motivate, heal and ultimately save lives. BMS clients, partners, friends and associates are signing on to host a display in their businesses’ waiting rooms, lobbies or break rooms, and retail locations including hotels, car washes and cafes — anywhere where multitudes of people can be reached. By providing the lending library in a lobby area, a guest can thumb through the books provided while they wait, or in an employee/work setting, borrow the book or DVD only to return it to the lending library when they have completed reading the book or watched the DVD.

“‘Media That Matters’ is the mantra used by BIC Media Solutions in providing faith/family-friendly books, film and TV content with a purpose. It’s the perfect title for the lending library,” claims Earl B. Heard, CEO of BIC Alliance and BIC Media Solutions. “The faith and family-friendly books, films and media projects BIC Media Solutions develop and produce are all intended to help others find greater hope with words of encouragement.”

The displays are being distributed throughout Baton Rouge, New Orleans and all the way to Houston, Texas, where a majority of the energy industry resides. The intent is to place several hundred units by next spring. The displays feature a mix of BIC Media Solutions-published books, many written by Heard himself, as well as well-known authors from the oil and gas industry.

The BMS collection includes: Rock Bottom and Back–From Desperation to Inspiration, Industry Achievers, Earl’s Pearls: Jewels of Wisdom Worth Passing On, It’s What We Do Together That Counts: The BIC Alliance Story, Energy Entrepreneurs, Louisiana Sports Legends and Heroes: Leaving a Legacy, The Story Of …, and children’s book Michael Learns to Listen.


Those interested in hosting a display will be able to select from a list of over a dozen books and films to customize their “Media That Matters” display to their clientele. In addition to the displays that are available as a lending library, the books, films and displays are provided on consignment to sell the products to customers directly. Many will want to take these books home permanently, and BMS will provide this opportunity.

A portion of all sales will be donated to help the thousands of Baton Rouge flood victims, many who have lost everything and are needing a helping hand to start over. Baton Rouge is home base for BIC Media Solutions.
