What: Free film screening and book signing of inspirational documentary ROCK BOTTOM AND BACK—FROM DESPIRATION TO INSPIRATION, featuring local Louisiana heroes who share stories of hope after they hit rock bottom and came back to inspire others, starring Hollywood actor Danny Trejo. The event is specifically for and benefiting Louisiana flood victims.

Rock Bottom and Back Heroes in attendance for inspirational Q&A after the film:
- Tonja Myles – founder “Set Free Indeed” faith-based support for those who need help conquering substance use disorders
- Billy Rivers – motorcycle club evangelist who helps those with substance abuse
- George Mills – founder “Hope House” for victims of sex trafficking
- Kristen Maddox – founder “A Door of Hope Ministry” to help struggling women
- Stanley Roberts – former NBA basketball star
- Earl B. Heard – local entrepreneur and business owner who hit rock bottom several times and was inspired to create “Rock Bottom and Back” book and film
- Susan Mustafa – co-author of Rock Bottom and Back
Filmmakers in attendance: Mission Media (New Orleans Mission) producing team including Steve Scaffidi (director) and Devin Black (editor/cinematographer, former homeless disciple)
Why: Join this screening and discussion to help heal, motivate, inspire and encourage anyone that may have felt at rock bottom in their lives, including those affected by the recent floods. You will truly be filled with inspiration as we share stories of hope. The co-authors of the book in which the film is based are both from Baton Rouge and want to give back to the community.
Who: This event is for flood victims, their friends and family. This is a family-friendly film and discussion but the subject matter leans towards those 18 and older. Please bring an unwrapped gift or non-perishable food item for donation. Everyone will receive inspirational gifts for attending.
